iPhone/iPad Bug Discovered
As a heads-up, a user of the iPhone App just reported an issue recording a time-based workout on your Concept2 rowing machine. The current version of the App, (v1.1.8.15), will apparently fail to detect workout completion of time-based workouts and will fail to record your workout.
If you select the distance you intend to row in the PM5 monitor prior to starting your workout, the workout will be saved as intended upon completing your workout. Pressing the Menu button on the PM5 prior to completing a workout should also indicate workout completion to the Viking Rows App and allow the App to record your workout meters.
We apologize for any inconvenience this bug might cause in lost workout meters! We will look into this and fix the issue as soon as possible.
Livestreaming Capabilities
We have just released a new livestream sharing capability on the website, which will allow you to share livestream video feeds you create of your workouts while using Viking Rows and also allow you to share your live location during your on-the-water rowing workouts.
While we are still alpha testing this functionality, these features will only be available to subscribers.
To inquire about a these features and associated subscription, please do not hesitate to contact us here.
Here is a recent example of a video livestream of a Viking Rows map-based workout on the website.
We’ll be bringing these capabilities to the iPhone and iPad App soon.
